The PADI diving training system provides the opportunity to complete your training anywhere in the world at any PADI diving center. The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of a theoretical part, confined water (pool or its alternative) and open water parts. For example, you can start your dive course in your city in a pool during winter, then pass your open water by finishing the PADI Open Water Diver course during your summer vacation here in Thailand. What an excellent alternative to diving in cold and muddy waters back home!

What does your training for PADI Open Water Diver Referral course include?

Your «Referral form» confirms that you have successfully learned the theoretical part of the course and mastered all skills in confined water. To complete the training and obtain a PADI diver certificate, you need to do 4 dives in the open water.
The practical part of the course are open water dives
Within the PADI Open Water Diver Referral course you will complete 4 dives in the open water within two days. During the training dives in the open water you will demonstrate the skills you learned previously in confined water (pool). At the end of each dive you will take an underwater tour and enjoy the underwater world of tropical coral reefs.

Continuing diving education

After completing the PADI Open Water Diver course, you can move on. PADI Adventure Diver or PADI Advanced Open Water Diver courses are the next step for you!
After completing the PADI Open Water Diver course, you also can choose from a variety of PADI specialty courses.
