PADI Enriched Air Diver Specialty Course on Koh Phangan Island - is the most popular PADI specialty course. Enriched air is any nitrogen/oxygen gas blend with more than 21 percent oxygen. Enriched Air, also known as “nitrox”, allows divers to extend bottom time and reduce nitrogen loading. This becomes especially useful when making a series of dives over several days. You’ll be learning to use enriched air with from 22 percent to the maximum 40 percent oxygen recommended for recreational diving with an enriched air compatible dive computer. 

PADI Enriched Air Diver theoretical part of the course can be completed in as little as an afternoon in just half a day. After completing the theory portion you’ll apply the knowledge you’ve learned by practicing procedures for obtaining and analyzing enriched air with your PADI Instructor. You also have the option of completing two open water enriched air dives to see how enriched air increases no decompression limits. During this course you’ll know more about:

  • Recommendations for using equipment with enriched air with up to 40% oxygen
