The most dangerous diseases: asthma, epilepsy, narcolepsy, claustrophobia. Otitis, frontal sinuses, sinusitis are diseases that should be treated with caution, as there is a possibility that you can not equalize the pressure in the air cavity during dive.

Go diving with our dive center «Scuba Birds». The underwater world of the Gulf of Siam will surprise and delight you.
But in addition to new acquaintances, on each dive we see those with whom a close encounter would be undesirable. These are charming but terribly prickly sea urchins, or as they are called, «porcupines of sea depths».
Sea urchins are animals of the echinoderms class. They appeared on Earth more than 500 million years ago, at about the same time as their close relatives, sea stars. The body of sea urchins is protected by sharp long needles, attached to it with hinges. The mouth is at the base of the animal, the anus at the top and looks like an eye. There are legends about the life expectancy of sea urchins, some scientists believe that these animals would live indefinitely if there no natural predators. Despite the seemingly ideal protection, they often become prey to crabs, sea stars, large fish and mammals. Some species of sea urchins are considered as delicacy among people.

The dive center «Scuba Birds» in Koh Tao and Koh Samui provides diving training services. Our experienced instructors and PADI divemasters will guide you underwater and arrange a meeting with the family of clownfish.
Clownfish is not great at swimming, so it is difficult to imagine their life without the patronage of an anemone (anemone). So they all form symbiotic mutualisms with sea anemones. Clownfish relieve actinia from dead tentacles, keep it clean, attract the attention of small animals, which are paralyzed and eaten by actinia. In turn, clownfish get protection. Hardly Nemo will feel danger, as they immediately rush to hide in the poisonous tentacles of their living house.
Interesting fact! Anemonefish are sequential hermaphrodites, meaning they develop into males first, and when they mature, they become females. If the female anemonefish is removed from the group, such as by death, a widowed male transforms into a female, capable of laying eggs.
Divers of any level can meet these interesting creatures: [mx_youtuber type="video" id="7c6vy26wZu0" display="title, date, channel, description, meta"]
PADI Open Water Diver, PADI Advanced Open Water Diver, or PADI Discover Scuba Diver while diving in Koh Tao and Koh Samui.
Most divers who take a course PADI Advanced Open Water Diver in the Scuba Birds center in Koh Tao choose the night dive as part of this program.
It is preferable to dive in the familiar and safe place. Often our ship goes to Nangyuan Island at the Twins. This dive site is very convenient for night navigation, consists of three rocks and each of them is at different depths:

The depth varies from 5 to 18 meters. Not all divers feel confident on the first night dive, so you can always choose the individual program and the most suitable route. For example, a sand zone without sea urchins and sharp corals. Night dive is a perfect test of your buoyancy and stability. During the night dive, you can meet stingrays that are actively looking for food, giant groupers hunting for smaller fish, hermit crabs, moray eels, pufferfish, sleeping triggers, shrimps and even turtles. Each diver gets one main and spare flashlight. Before diving, you will have a briefing with your PADI Instructor on signals, diving techniques, marine life and potential hazards. If you are a PADI Open Water Diver, then you can take one Adventure Night Dive. Explore the various dive sites of Koh Tao and get the most of it!
